The Five Hundredth Tanker Loaded with Oil at the Ust-Luga Port

The Stena Atlantica tanker flying the flag of the Cayman Islands moored the fourth maritime terminal of the specialized sea oil port Ust-Luga and has become the five hundredth one since the Baltic oil filling terminal started to operate.

The port specialists received oil from Transneft Druzhba, JSC, formed a tanker batch of 100 thousand tons, and filled it onto the tanker by transferring it to the consignor. The milestone tanker loading was completed at 11:00 a.m. on July 19, 2014, and at 16:00 the Stena Atlantica tanker left the terminal and headed for Rotterdam.

Transneft Ust-Luga Port, LLC is incorporated in Oil Transporting Joint-Stock Company Transneft as a subsidiary. The Ust-Luga oil depot is the final point «Baltic Pipeline System 2» (BPS-2). It is designed to transship oil onto modern sea vessels with the maximum output and minimum risks of incidents.
